Seeking Two Actors for “Savage: The Musical”

Savage the Musical is a dramatic musical based on the true story of cowriter Nicolette Blount‘s Native American starlet, Great Grandmother, Wanda Savage.  Savage will have their first production in the Pioneer Valley before returning to NYC for further development.  The production team for Savage is currently looking for two actors for our first production in April.

Auditions: by appointment or email only

Shows: April 17, 18, 19 and 24, 25, 26. 

Rehearsals begin late February.

Grant Valentine, Tenor or Baritone with range,  20s/30s Handsome Hollywood Movie Star.  Married and torn between his career and Wanda, ultimately choosing his career

Andrew – Wanda’s abusive gambling first husband and father to her child Paul.  Non singing role or singing.  Currently a non-singing role, however if the actor can sing, we will add in a song.

***This is an adult musical with  mature themes.  

  • Be prepared to bring a one minute monologue.
  • Be prepared to sing from the song of your choice that shows off your voice, range and  expression.  Be aware that we will only hear about 16 bars of the song, so let us know where in the song you would like us to start it.  If you have sheet music, we will have a pianist on site to play.  If you don’t have a song, we will have a few basics you can sing…everyone knows Happy Birthday right? haha!
  • Email  with your song choice and backing track.  If you can not find a backing track for your chosen song, contact us and we can try to help you with that.
  • Be prepared to do a dance audition.
  • Headshots and resumes are welcome, but not required.
  • All cultures and ethnicities are encouraged to audition.  We are also looking for actors with Native American heritage to audition for the Native American roles regardless of your hair, skin or eye color.
