ALBANY, NY.—NOV. 8, 2019—Big things are afoot at Capital Repertory Theatre! It’s a Wonderful Life: Live from WVL Radio Theatre is nearing its opening night as the final holiday entry in the company’s original Market Theatre digs. Construction continues apace just down Pearl Street at a new home slated for a July launch with the Broadway musical Sister Act. And the theatre’s capital campaign is steaming ahead, welcoming public donations in its final phase.
It feels like time to celebrate.
In that spirit, theREP Celebration, 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Peter D. Kiernan Plaza, honors Kimberly Sanger Jones and E. Stewart Jones, Jr. along with Berkshire Bank—two individuals and a corporation that truly embody theREP’s efforts to forge meaningful relationships with people and organizations all across our diverse community.
The event, held in a beautifully renovated 1899 train station that remains one of the city’s key historic landmarks, will feature a sumptuous three-course meal presented by Mazzone Hospitality as well as entertainment by Art D’Echo Trio, and, of course, offer a special sneak peek of theREP’s new home at Livingston Square.
theREP Celebration benefits the School of the Performing Arts at theREP, which continues to enrich the lives of students on and off stage throughout the Capital Region.
