Classic Theater Guild Announces Auditions for Musical “Mr. Scrooge”

The Classic Theater Guild is proud to announce upcoming auditions for the musical *Mr. Scrooge.*

*Mr. Scrooge *is an uplifting holiday musical based on Charles Dickens’ classic *A Christmas Carol*.  All of the characters you know come to life in this wonderful musical comedy perfect for the entire family. The ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future all come to visit Ebenezer Scrooge and take him on a journey which helps him recall his
youth, and see his future. You?ll meet young Ebenezer and his lost love Isabelle, the jovial merchant Fezziwig, and of course, the poor but happy Cratchit family with their beloved brave little Tiny Tim.  The songs are varied and festive, and sure to bring a smile to the faces of the entire family.

Written by Richard Morris, Doris Claman, and Ted Wood, this family musical that has been entertaining audiences throughout the United States and Canada.

*Audition Dates and Times:*

Tuesday, Sept 17 at 7 pm

Sunday, Sept 22 at Noon

*Audition Location:*

Congregation Beth Israel

2195 Eastern Parkway, Schenectady NY

(Parking and entrance on Union St side)

*Available Roles:*

Casting 10 male, 9 female, teens, children and extras. (there may be doubling)

*Audition Particulars:*

For those auditioning, please prepare 16 to 32 bars of music from a Broadway show or holiday song.  Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. (No acapella singing).  In addition, there will be readings from script.  The auditions *will not* include a dance portion.


December 6 thru December 15.  Shows will be Friday thru Sunday.
Performances will be at Proctors in the Addy Theater.
