Living Room Theatre Presents a New Comedy “Lucy’s Wedding”

Bees are buzzing, roses are blooming and the Living Room Theatre is in rehearsal with an American comedy written by our own Randolyn Zinn. Lucy’s Wedding will mark LRT’s fourth new play since we began in 2012 and the third by a female playwright.

Set in the early 1980s (before Google and cell phones), three sisters, their mother, grandmother, the bride’s groom and his brother pray, dream and scheme while pursuing what they want for reasons they don’t quite understand.

The cast includes some of your favorite actors: Michael Broadhurst (The Seagull, Cherry Orchard, Exit The King, Three Sisters), Colleen O’Connor (Cherry Orchard, Exit The King), Kirk Jackson (Three Sisters) and co-artistic director, Allen McCullough (The Seagull, Uncle Vanya, Cherry Orchard, Men of Tortuga, Circle Mirror Transformation, Three Sisters). Brilliantly rounding out the cast are Broadway veteran Karen Trott, NYU/MFA grad Julia Valen, Animus company member Sara Canter and Will Gallacher of Strangemen Company. Chase McCloud (Adam & Evie, Three Sisters) returns as our sound and light magician.

Catch the show July 17-28 at the historic Park-McCullough House, 1 Park Street in North Bennington VT. Since seating is limited and the show can only run TWO WEEKS, reservations are a must! Best to reserve online at info@lrtvt.org. Or by phone: 802-442-5322

See what we’ve been up to in the last 8 seasons on our website: lrtvt.org — and while there, you can easily make a tax-deductible donation to help the cause (LRT is a 501c3 non-profit). Thank you!

We are proud of and grateful for your support. Tallulah Bankhead was so right when she said “If you want to help the American theatre, don’t be an actress, be an audience!”
