Audition Notice for

the Alfred Z. Solomon Trust presents Ad Astra Theatre Troupe‘s

Trojan Women

WHAT

Coming this May, the Alfred Z. Solomon Trust presents Ad Astra Theatre Troupe?s Trojan Women, adapted by Saratoga Springs, NY based teen writers, Padraig Bond and Catie LeCours. Based on the Euripides’ classic play, the story begins in the wake of Troy’s sacking, following the lives of its women left behind and those who seek to enslave them. There is no fee to participate.

We’re seeking a main cast of eleven teenage actors. Auditionees should be versatile and fascinated by character analysis, with a desire to participate in an authentic theater workshop experience. There will also be
opportunities for students who are interested in work behind the scenes.

WHEN

Auditions – 3:30-6:30pm, February 10th

Callbacks – 6:30-9:30pm, February 13th

Rehearsals will take place most Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 6pm starting March 23rd at the Bloom Movement Studio in Saratoga Springs.

Performances will take place in late May and early June, 2019.

WHAT TO EXPECT*

Please register by sending an email to adastratroupe@gmail.com before February 8th. After we receive your registration, we?ll send you an audition packet that includes a form to help us get to know you a bit better, several monologues to choose from, a plot summary, and the character descriptions.
