The Mount Offers a Reading of “Lady Randy”

“Lady Randy” is back! This time for a reading at Edith Wharton’s beautiful estate, The Mount, in Lenox this Thursday September 27 at 5:00 PM. In addition to being Winston Churchill’s amazing American mother, Lady Randolph Churchill was also quite a good friend of Edith Wharton’s– which makes this whole reading even nicer. Jim Frangione directs, I play Jennie, and the wonderful Allyn Burrows plays the whirl of characters in her life. The curtain-raiser that precedes it is “Kate Spain,” the short Lizzie Borden-esque play Wharton wrote but never finished, directed by Kelly Galvin. Tickets and info at the Wharton website.
