Stewart’s Grant Helps Mac-Haydn Children’s Theatre Offer Free Tickets for Children of Military and Veterans

CHATHAM, NY — Thanks to a grant from Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match, The Mac-Haydn Children’s Theatre is once again able to offer free tickets for this summer’s shows to children of veterans as well as military personnel currently serving.

The Mac-Haydn Theatre‘s professional resident company, along with young area thespians, perform child friendly musicals for audiences of all ages.

The Real Story of Little Red Riding Hood” runs through June 14th.  This topsy turvy version “flips the script” on the classic tale you know and love reminding audiences that there are two sides to every story.

Pied Piper” running July 20-28, will enchant you with a beautiful score as it tells that tale of a town overrun with rats and in need of a solution. The mysterious Pied Piper appears one day with an answer to all of the town’s troubles…as long as they are willing to be honest and selfless.

Wendy’s Shadow” has it’s Mac- Haydn Theatre debut August 3-18. The magical adventure of Peter Pan is retold from Wendy’s modern-day perspective with a contemporary folk/rock score written by Mac- Haydn Main Stage Music Director David Maglione. Take a trip back to Neverland – where dreams are born, and time is never planned.

Mac-Haydn Children’s Theatre shows are Friday and Saturday mornings at 10:30am. Please mention your veteran status when ordering tickets and bring service identification when picking up at The Box Office.  Tickets are $10.00 for children of all ages.  Season subscriptions and group discounts are available.  Call 518-392-9292 or visit machaudntheatre.org for information and reservations
