GhostLit Repertory Theatre Company, under the leadership of Artistic Directors Caitlin Teeley and Harrison Lang, is excited to announce casting for their upcoming summer season as well as an addition to their season lineup.
The season includes the previously announced world premiere of an original musical adaptation of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest as well as the regional premiere of the five-time Tony-Award winning musical Fun Home, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Alison Bechdel. Closing out the season will be the addition of a one night original drag-musical-variety show entitled Baby Can’t Speak, written and composed by Brookyln playwright Sarah Galante.
The Tempest will be directed by sister and brother duo Caitlin and Jackson Teeley, with Music Direction by Jackson Teeley and original choreography by Isabel Filkins. The Tempest features text by William Shakespeare and original music by Jackson Teeley. Starring will be Jolyn Unruh as Prospero, Brianna Nicola as Miranda, Caroline Fairweather as Ariel, Ali Louis Bourzgui as Caliban, Aiden Chalfonte as Ferdinand, David Bertoldi as Antonio, Connor McNinch as Sebastian, Olivia Willcox as Gonzala, Harrison Lang as Trinculo, and Cody Lee Miller as Stephano. The Tempest’s ensemble features Alexandra Keane, Taylor Slonaker, and Charles Kerzner.
The casting of Alonso will be announced at a later date.
The Tempest will run June 14, 8pm, June 15, 8pm, June 16, 2pm & 8pm, and June 17, 1pm & 7pm at Saint James Place in Great Barrington, 352 Main St. Great Barrington MA. Tickets will be $20 and will be on sale shortly at ghostlitrep.com
Fun Home will be directed by Harrison Lang and Caitlin Teeley, with Music Direction by Gigi Teeley and Mike Pacifico and Choreography by Natalie Sala. Fun Home features Music by Jeanine Tesori, Book and Lyrics by Lisa Kron, and is based on the Graphic Novel by Alison Bechdel. Starring will be Caitlin Teeley as Alison Bechdel, Emma Foley as Medium Alison, Mary Shalaby as Small Alison, Matt Passetto as Bruce Bechdel, Francine Ciccarelli as Helen Bechdel, John Ververis as Christian Bechdel, Ben Shannon as John Bechdel, Olivia Willcox as Joan, and Jackson Teeley as Roy, Mark, Pete, and Bobby Jeremy.
