To date, we have raised and donated over $23,000.00, through the V-Day Campaign, most of which has remained in the Capital Region community,” said Amanda Brinke, ABB Event Productions President. “Combining theater with awareness about violence against women makes for a powerful evening.”

V-Day is a world-wide organized response against violence toward women in which we one day hope see a world where women live safely, free from rape, incest, battery, genital mutilation and sexual slavery. We believe women should spend their lives creating and thriving rather than surviving or recovering from terrible atrocities. We will work as long as it takes, until the violence stops.

The V-Day campaign marks its 20th Anniversary this year.  “While we are certainly not happy to still have a global need to raise awareness about this topic, we have recently seen many courageous women and men step forward to speak out against their abusers.  This progress encourages us to  keep bringing the V-Day Campaign to Albany,” said co-producer Mary Rizzo
