RPI Players Open Call for Choreographer

The RPI Players are an educational  community based theater run by RPI
student on RPI’s campus. The theater is opening this call for its Spring
Musical, A Little Night Music, which has show dates on April 20th, 21st,
22nd, 26th, 27th, and 28th.

The Executive Committee is opening the call for all interested parties. The
Choreographer would be responsible for designing and teaching the
choreography of the show. They would be responsible for working with the
Director and Musical Director to compliment the vision of the show.

A Little Night Music is written by Hugh Wheeler, with music by Stephen
Sondheim. Set in 1900 Sweden, A Little Night Music explores the tangled
web of affairs centered around actress, Desiree Armfeldt, and the men who
love her: a lawyer by the name of Fredrik Egerman and the Count Carl-Magnus
Malcom. When the traveling actress performs in Fredrik’s town, the
estranged lovers’ passion rekindles. This strikes a flurry of jealousy and
suspicion between Desiree; Fredrik; Fredrick’s wife, Anne; Desiree’s
current lover, the Count; and the Count’s wife, Charlotte. Both men – as
well as their jealous wives – agree to join Desiree and her family for a
weekend in the country at Desiree’s mother’s estate. With everyone in one
place, infinite possibilities of new romances and second chances bring
endless surprises.

To apply for this position please email the Executive Committee at
rpi-players@rpi.edu with your theater resume. Within 24 hours you should
receive a reply asking to set up a time for an interview. If you do not
receive a reply within that time please resend your application.

Thank you,
